TSwH Series 1: Travel Tips, Tricks & Hacks
Henry is a world traveller who lived the first half of his life in the countryside of northern Ontario, Canada.
We begin the series with tips for travelling. Learn about the important things to consider when you’re planning a trip: how to pack, what to pack, money-saving tips to stay on budget, why kitchens are so important and bathrooms can be a minefield.
As Henry says, “Just because you have Autism or you haven’t travelled anywhere before, it doesn’t mean it’s not possible!”

S1 – Ep 1: Budgeting
This video is about how to create and stay on a budget when you're planning your trip. There are a lot of things to consider like ticket-buying, accommodations, insurance, food allowance and even fun money too!
S1 – Ep 2: Communication
Communication in a country where you don't speak the native language can be tricky. Join Henry to learn some great tips to navigate through this challenge, including the five important questions you should learn in the common language of the country you are visiting. Remember communication is so much more than just spoken language!

Trying different foods is a great part of your travel adventure. This is a big topic so it's presented in three parts; cooking for yourself, eating in restaurants and street food. This episode is focused on eating in restaurants when you're travelling. This can be expensive, so watch for some solid tips to help you save money while still enjoying yourself.

Deciding what to take on a trip is an important part of the planning process. Streamlining your packing can be a great help in making the trip more successful. No one wants to tire themselves out lugging heavy bags full of things you never use! This episode offers some great tips and tricks on packing light.

If you're travelling light with only one carry-on and a backpack when it comes to laundry what do you do? Lots to consider when you're packing, like maybe don't bring a lot of jeans! Join Henry for some great tips and tricks on how to manage to keep things clean when you're on the road.

No matter how well you plan your travel adventure, something will always go wrong, missed flights, changes in accommodation, and unlooked-for challenges! That's why it can be extremely useful to have a Plan B. Join Henry as he shares some ideas and strategies to navigate those extra adventures when they pop up.

When you're travelling, your normal routines are set aside for new experiences and adventures. A big part of any travel adventure is discovering how people live in countries other than your own. It's important to remember that though the customs may be new to you they are often well-established for the local community. One of the many joys of travelling to different countries is discovering how people live, how their customs may differ from what you are used to. In 2020, Autism Canada invited Henry as a speaker for their National Au-Some Conference. Henry decided to offer the background story of how he came to create Troubleshooting with Henry. The channel offers a sensible guide to viewers on a wide-ranging number of topics through the format of problem-example-solution. Whether you have Autism or not, the advice is clear and extremely useful. Life is an adventure, and problem-solving is an incredibly useful skill. Join Henry as he shares some tricky challenges he faced and how he worked through them with grace and humour. Sometimes when one door closes, another door opens, even if you have to make it yourself!
